Inventory Management: Organizing the Year-End Inventory Count
2025-01-01
As a company with 24 years of experience in injection molding production and sheet metal fabrication, we understand the importance of effective inventory management. One key component of this is the annual inventory count, which we organize twice a year - at the middle and the end of each year.
This time, we organized our year-end inventory count with over 100 functional department personnel in 13 groups. Our teams were tasked with counting 45 different warehouses, including:
Sheet metal workshops
Plastic workshops
Silk-screen printing workshops
Finished product warehouses
Purchased product warehouses
Electroplated finished product warehouses
Semi-finished product warehouses
Raw material warehouses
Auxiliary material warehouses
Low-value consumable warehouses
Outsourced material warehouses
Sample warehouses
During the count, our teams compared actual quantity, label quantity, and system data, and recorded and compared any discrepancies. We also made note of any problem that could be improved. By doing this, we not only ensure effective inventory management, but we can also identify any issues that may exist in our production or management processes and correct them promptly.
