The Challenge: Severe Scratching on Transparent PET Trays

Our production team identified a recurring and critical defect in a transparent PET refrigerator bottle tray. The trays were experiencing severe surface scratching and scuffing during the manufacturing process, leading to a high batch failure rate. For a transparent part where aesthetics are paramount, this was unacceptable and impacted the final product's visual quality.

Pinpointed the Core Issue

Instead of applying a temporary fix, our technical team initiated a root cause analysis. In close collaboration with the product development team and the mold supplier, we pinpointed the core issue: excessive friction during the ejection phase of the injection molding process.

The Innovative, Cost-Free Solution
