How to Avoid Scratches/Cracks on Transparent Parts During Transportation?

2024-12-18

Transparent parts are widely used as common parts in home appliances, especially refrigerators. Our company also has a large amount of transparent parts injection molding production orders. The appearance of transparent parts is an important key to judging their quality.

So how to avoid damage to the parts during placing and transportation?

Our QA department has formulated clear instructions for the packaging standard of transparent parts.

1. Packaging norms in the production process

After injection molding and production, the transparent plastic parts cannot be stacked and placed bare. The parts must be separated from each other by materials, so as to avoid the damage of semi-finished products caused by untimely packaging and assembling.

2. Norms for the transport carts

No damage to the work cart, with protective blankets, and no damage to the protective sleeves, damaged work carts are not allowed to be stocked. The material control department is in charge of repairing and supervising the damaged carts.

3. Placement norms

(1) Pallet placement norms

In the production process, turnover, and inventory processes, are not allowed to be placed beyond the pallet

(2) Work cart placement norms

It is forbidden to place over the work cart when preparing goods, and it is not allowed to place over the height and width for the loading of more goods.

4. Pick and assemble norms

For example, some of our refrigerator drawers have transparent drawer fronts and need to be assembled with drawer boxes. This requires that when assembled, the bench top is neat and tidy, and will not cause damage to the pieces. For the remaining unassembled parts, they should be placed in strict packaging norms.

The proper packing and transport of plastic transparent components are vital not only for preserving product quality but also for enhancing customer satisfaction and brand reputation. By training employees in best practices, we can significantly reduce the risk of damage during transit. By committing to these standards, we can ensure that those transparent parts arrive at their destination in perfect condition.
